“Mama Dragon”
Hello my name is Susan Fortune and I have been working with children for 25+ years, having also brought up 4 of my own (3 boys and 1 girl) and now having 3 beautiful Grandchildren
I always have a smile on my face, even while teaching, to put everyone at ease and think we should all do it more.
I am very patient with slow learners, as I know from experience how hard it can be. We don’t all learn at the same pace, so if a student is struggling I will show them different ways until they get it!
As a child and teenager I got bullied all the time. Into my adulthood I developed a self-loathing, low self-esteem and zero confidence in myself. However, at the age of 41 I got my 1st Degree Black Belt in a Martial Art in December 2015, I got my 2nd Degree in December 2017, got my 3rd Degree in December 2020, now I am aiming for my 4th Degree in December 2024 and feel PROUD of my achievements!
SO I GOT THINKING…… I DON’T WANT ANY CHILD TO FEEL AS I DID, AND THIS IS WHERE MAMAS LIL DRAGONS CAME FROM.
